The LIFE TIB aims to improve and protect a green infrastructure, or a section of the main ecological corridor that crosses the Po Valley. It is an element of primary importance in the Natura 2000 network that extends throughout Europe, as it connects the Alpine bioregion with the Continental. In particular, the section covered by the project LIFE TIB extends between relief foothill Campo dei Fiori (north of Varese) and the Valley of the River Ticino.
